Luann Tennant Coyne is the author of “The Shadow From the North” children’s fantasy trilogy, which includes the books “The Crystal Tower”, “On the Wolf’s Path”, and “The Gypsy’s Friend”. In addition, Luann has published an illustrated book for young children who have suffered trauma, “The Twice and Always Princess.” Luann has  published for “Guideposts,” “Angels on Earth,” and “The Upper Room” magazines, among others.

Luann is currently working on another children’s fantasy trilogy and a book of reminiscences with the working title “Motherhood, My First Draft Life.”

Luann has two grown daughters, three grandchildren, and countless prairie plants.  She lives with her husband in a house full of books and music in a suburb of Chicago.
